DC is full of transient people and this is a good way to build up a network of friends. Contrary to your ask, I recommend staying away from the “singles” groups. Find groups you are genuinely interested in (photography, hiking etc), maybe you’ll meet someone along the way, but don’t make that your focus. I’ve struggled with dating due to lack of interest from women on dating apps (I’ve only gone on a handful of dates) and I don’t have a huge social circle. Frankly, I also work a lot (60 hrs/week) so it’s hard for me to work on the social aspect, but it is on my mind as an area of improvement. I’m in the DC area. Here is a little. Serial dating does not necessarily indicate anything to do with quality or lack of willingness to commit. I would guess DC is a crime-infested warzone. A safe space to trade experiences, frustrations, worries, analyze cultural reactions, or just chat with fellow cougars and cubs. Working definition: a cougar/cub relationship is one where the woman (cougar) is a woman of 40 who at least 10 years older than the man (cub) or woman (kitten). A woman under 40 is a Puma. 15 votes, 63 comments. 191k members in the washingtondc community. A subreddit for those living in and visiting Washington, DC and the immediate.

I'm learning about important dates in history. Wanna be one of them? (Yikes.)
Anyway, hiya! It's a-me. Disclaimer that I'm a lil chubby, so if you're not into it, that's alright.
Some things I'm looking for: Kinda shaky on the whole LDR thing since my last one IMPLODED quite literally, but open to the idea! Dad bods >>>>>>> Older dudes welcome, but not younger (sorry, I'm sure you're great though). Ideally I could find someone who enjoys the mountains and reading as much as me, but I'm not too picky. My only requirements are a job, car/means of transportation, and good hygiene :). Friends welcome as well as potential significant others!
A little about me: I'm a college student and full-time worker doing screenprinting in the DMV and studying English hoping to be a teacher or in publishing. My ideal life would be quiet, in the Appalachians, in a small cabin on a big ol piece of land where I can garden and walk around in the woods. I love to read science fiction, fantasy, and poetry. Graphic novels are also pretty cool. I write, mostly for school but, when its for recreation, fantasy YA. I've been playing a lot of animal crossing lately, and I enjoy Minecraft too. I also dabble a little bit with baking, photography, and painting.
I love cats and have had my little guy, Mr. Cookie, for 10 years. He's my bestest friend in the whole world, and someone who also loves cats would be awesome :) My favorite bands are probably Coldplay and Interpol, but I used to really enjoy more emo shit and still listen occasionally. I also REALLY love podcasts and generally listen to them while I'm at work or doing chores. Some of the best in my list are Behind the Bastards, Ghost Story Guys, Overdue, Sinisterhood, and Small Town Murder. my favorite shows are mostly cartoons like Bob's Burgers, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Over the Garden Wall, etc. I love all things true crime and I'll watch any documentary I can get my hands on.

A lot of my life is super busy because I work 40hrs a week and take 12-15 credit hours at college any given semester, but I'm still full of love and ready to give away some free time to someone special or a new friend. I hate saying this because people who DO say it usually don't mean it, but I am pretty mature for my age. I'm career-oriented and I work hard to pay my way through life and college. I want to live a comfortable life someday where money isn't the biggest thing I have to worry about. I'm looking for someone with similar qualities.
If you're interested, feel free to message me on here :) Don't know what kinda hits I might get but I'm open to a lot!
